And although we have already reviewed many issues with Android P beta, we want you to discover what you need to know and how to fix them on your pixel. Especially now that Android 9.0 is officially available.

While waiting for Google to crush these bugs, many people who just installed Android 9 have frustrating problems. We are here to help you, so read some of the most common problems with Android 9 Pixel and how to solve them.

We see complaints about random reboots, menu crashes, gesture control issues, missing text, fingerprint issues in Android 9 and up.

With any software update like Android 8.0 or Android 9, you have problems. Big and small. And even if we try to fix some of them here today, you may just want to perform a factory reset and give your phone a fresh start. Before that, try these tips.

Google Pixel Android 9 WiFi Problems

Even on Android 8.0 Oreo, we see complaints about WiFi. It's something that happens with every phone, no matter the software. Whether speeds, drops or WiFi connectivity.

If you're having trouble with WiFi, our first suggestion would be to turn off WiFi and then turn it back on. Drag the notification bar down and tap the WiFi quick setup thumbnail at the top. Then turn it back on and try to connect. If that still does not help, a quick reboot usually fixes the problem.

However, if you still have problems with WiFi pixels, try this. Go to Settings> WiFi and forget about your wireless network. Unplug your router or personal modem and wait at least 10 to 15 seconds before reconnecting. Once it restarts, search for it, log back in, insert your password and see how it goes. Google has made a lot of changes to WiFi in Android 8.1 and some in the beta version of Android. So things could be wasted. Giving a fresh start relooks the connection after this big software update.

Problems with Bluetooth Pixel

We see similar complaints about Android P Bluetooth and NFC issues. With so many devices, brands, accessories and different car manufacturers, this will inevitably happen. Personally, my Pixel has never had a single problem until I update to Android 8.0 Oreo. They left with the beta version of Android, and until now, this seems to be going well on Android 9.

That said, the biggest complaint is the connectivity in cars, or the connection falls without reason. Try to remove all Bluetooth pairings in the settings and try again. Even remove your phone from the car stereo, if that's an option.

Some of the Android 8.1 Oreo Pixel updates from March, June, and July included bug fixes for Bluetooth. If you have launched some of the Android Pixel games, you have missed these updates. Now that you are on Android 9, restart all your Bluetooth pairings and the experience should improve immensely.

Bad Pixel Android 9 Problems Related to Battery Life

One of these "artificial intelligence" is adaptive battery controls that use artificial intelligence in the operating system to offer the best possible autonomy. Your phone knows when to sleep apps and others. However, we are seeing some early complaints about battery life. This is predictable, and do not worry.

Common Google Pixel Android 9 Pie Problems & Fixes 1

Poor battery life may be due to a lot of things but is probably an application that does not work properly with Android 9. We recommend customizing the location settings, reducing the brightness of the screen at about 40% or automatic and closing large applications you no longer need. If the life of the battery was bad just after the update, it's because everything had to adjust and you have used your phone a lot. Give him a day or two to "settle in".

However, the best route is to point you to the settings and make sure that an application does not empty your juice. Head to Settings> Battery and see what's in your top 5 or above. Generally, the Android system, Android OS or screen is at the top. If there is an application near the top, something is wrong. Uninstall it, disable it or tap it and press "Force Close" to kill an application that is emptying the battery.

We also recommend that you set Battery Saver modes when you are in a hurry and need extra juice. 19659007] Problems with Android 9 Gesture Control

We hear a lot of people complaining about new gesture controls in Android 9. That's why Google turned them off and made it an optional mode that you had to activate. Here's how to activate gesture controls in Android P.

If the gesture's "pill" hangs or gets stuck, it stays on the screen while it's off and when it's off. load or you encounter other navigation problems. . Basically, we'll disable gesture controls and then re-enable them, which should solve your problems.

  • Scroll down and select System
  • Select Gestures
  • Press the 4th line labeled Drag up the Home button

All of this allows the gesture control navigation to be suppressed during a moment and put it back So, whether you have a big problem, or just a stuck button or window, see if it's gone. I have given up gesture controls for now and hope that Google slightly refines the experience before making it the only way to use our phones.

    Google Pay on Android 9

Finally, Google Pay works with Android 9 Pie. Almost everyone on the beta had problems with Google Pay or NFC. If you could not make payments on the beta, download the official update and try Google Pay again.

We even recommend that you sign out of Google Pay, sign in, and make sure NFC is enabled. The little bugs in the beta have disappeared, and it should work without any problem. If you still have problems, we contacted Google and we reported if we learned more. answer a phone call? You are not alone. This is the animation zoom bug and Google would have corrected this in the Developer Preview 5 from the end of July. However, we have seen at least two reports about this on Reddit after the arrival of Android 9.

At the moment, we do not know of any potential patch for that. Just call people or do other things to prevent the freeze of animation. If you have updated to Android 9 Pie and have always tried it, clear the cache of your application or perform a factory reset.

    Camera Problems on Pie

9 The Pixel XL camera does not work. When you launch the camera application, it is completely empty or black. Google has made some minor changes and improvements to the camera, so you have problems. However, we have a fix.

Go to Settings> Applications> and find the Camera application in the list. Click on the camera and select "Clear Cache" and try again. This clears some residual files in the camera's application system and will solve all the problems. If they persist, also try erasing the camera's application data, restart your phone and launch the camera. These are the two solutions we have heard so far. Let us know if you are dealing with a bad camera after Android 9.

    Bad application on Android 9

Another frequent complaint of Android P beta and now official users of Android 9 is that applications are not working properly. Whether it's the Snapchat crash or your favorite video player. The main benefit of the beta and developer preview for Android is that developers can test and improve their applications and services with the new Google software. However, some did not receive the message.

Some applications are just not compatible or will be unstable. It's like this during the first days of an update. If you have an application that does not work properly on Android 9 be patient. Most likely, everything is working fine, but we might encounter some problems. If that's the case, the developers are probably at work to fix it. Wait a few days and try again. Remember that Android 9 has just come out and some developer teams will need a few days to fix everything.

You can contact the developers on the Google Play Store or find them on Twitter, and tell them if it does not work. No problem.

General Problems with Pixel Android P Beta List

Now we wanted to share a long list of potential Android 9 issues on which Google has been actively working since the release of the first beta. We have no more list of "known issues" from Google, but we doubt that they have it all fixed. So, here are some of them that they are still working on or corrected with the August 6th release.

    Android Enterprise

    • Configuring and obtaining proxy host names in an ApnSetting instance typically requires a network connection to a DNS server. To resolve the problem by defining a host name, specify a host name and a dummy IP address (for example, 0.0.0.0 ) in InetAddress.getByAddress (). Note that obtaining a host name value also requires a network connection.
    • Possible loopback configuration for the work profile.

    Other

    • Playback function not available for the secondary user. available for the secondary user.

Again, this is only one list of potential beta issues that have probably all been resolved this summer. That said, we wanted to list them in case anyone would experience something similar. In this way, they know that Google is aware of the problem and is already working on a solution.

You can track Google's Android issues. In closing, remember that Google still publishes monthly security updates for Pixel and Pixel 2. In the past few months, they've added significant fixes and bug fixes in these "maintenance releases" of the security".
