Motorola, after taking the time to develop the most stable version of Android Oreo 8.1 after several months, finally deploys in Brazil, where the American takes first place. The reports suggest that most Brazilian Moto G5s Plus are already using Oreo 8.1 and that, subsequently, the update phase should also extend to the Indian, American and European markets in the coming days.
The new update also brings the latest August Security software update and should support all vulnerabilities found in Android. You also get all the Oreo 8.1 goodies such as image mode in image mode, dark mode, enhanced slack, auto-text box and more.
This will be the last update for the Moto G5S +, and the device will no longer receive significant updates. However, it will continue to receive Android security updates for two years. So far, the new update had not caused any complaints. In fact, the update of the Soak test of Oreo 8.1 allowed to have an excellent autonomy on the Moto G5s +. The stable version does not differ from that. Now that the soaking tests are complete and official stable updates are turned off, be patient until the update starts to appear in your area.
You can continue to check the update manually by going to Settings> About Phone> Updating System Software. Remember that these updates do not arrive on all devices at the same time and move slowly depending on the capacity of the server.
